About Innovation Park at Liberty Wells

Developed through a partnership between Ivory Innovations and the Call to Action Foundation and made possible by a generous land donation from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Liberty Wells brings stylish, modern, all-electric apartment homes and townhomes to moderate-income individuals and families in the heart of Salt Lake City.

The Liberty Wells neighborhood was established in the 1890s as part of the Mormon Pioneers’ “Big Field” project. Over time, it grew to include historic bungalows and Victorian-style homes built primarily from the late 1800s through the 1920s. A rec center was added in 1950, serving as a community hub for regional basketball leagues, dances, and youth activities, but eventually fell into disrepair. Thanks to this innovative partnership and land donation from the church, this landmark has been transformed into apartments, providing much-needed homes in a vibrant community.

Affordability at Liberty Wells

  • 30 apartments: 27 1-bedroom and 3 2-bedroom rented at 60% AMI.
  • 36 townhomes: 20 2-bedroom and 16 3-bedroom, renting 24 at 80% AMI and 12 at market rent.
